Late March in Charleston is typically pretty nice! We expect mild spring weather with average daytime highs in the low 70s and evening lows in the 50s. We recommend bringing a sweater or shawl for the evening!

The ceremony and reception will be outside, but the outdoor area will be tented if we are expecting rain or cooler temperatures. Cocktail hour will be indoor/outdoor. There will be tables in the house for anyone who prefers to eat inside!

As much as we love your little ones, due to space limitations, the wedding will be an adults-only celebration.

The RSVP option will be available after we have sent out formal invitations in early January 2027!

William Aiken House is located in a walkable area of downtown Charleston and does not have an on-site parking lot. There are some parking decks nearby, including the Visitor's Center Parking Garage (located at 63 Mary Street) and the Camden Exchange Garage (located at 35 John Street).
Many of the hotels on our website are walking distance from the venue, but we recommend using rideshare services as well!

We would love for our guests to dress up with us! Gentlemen may wear a tuxedo or a suit and tie. Ladies are encouraged to wear floor length dresses or formal attire. Since we’ll be outside, block heels or other grass-friendly shoes are recommended!
